It was revealed earlier today (November 3) that Jordan was left "deeply upset" by the row, which took place during training for a group dance on Monday (October 28).

Jordan tweeted earlier this evening: "Very upset to see the papers today as the BBC have already dealt with the situation, Karen has apologised for her outburst."

She added: "We all want to move forward and put this incident behind us and make sure this is the best series of Strictly ever!!!"

The star - who has danced on Strictly since 2006 - called for supporters to "stop sending Karen nasty tweets".

She also confirmed that she is not leaving the show as a result of the incident.

Jordan and Taylor Dawson impressed the judges with their tango in last night's (November 2) Halloween-themed show, receiving a score of 33 from the panel.

Hauer and her celebrity partner Dave Myers scored 19 for their jive to 'Monster Mash'.

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday (November 9) at 6.30pm on BBC One.
