'Strictly Come Dancing' results
Published Monday, Oct 8 2007, 09:35 BST | By Dave West
Brian and Karen have become the first two competitors to get thrown off this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Sunday's first results show of the series saw pairs Brian and Karen and Kenny and Ola come out lowest from judges' scores and viewers' votes.
Then, after a dance-off, three out of four judges opted to axe the former.
Brian commented: "It's been absolutely fantastic. I'm sad that I've let Karen down, but I've enjoyed it so much."
Karen said: "It's always an honour to dance on Strictly Come Dancing, and dancing with Brian - I loved every second. I used to watch him as a teacher on Grange Hill, and never thought I'd end up being his teacher!"
The show included a performance from last year's winners Mark Ramprakash and partner Karen. There was also a group dance involving all 14 couples and a musical performance from Michael Bublé.
