
The former snooker player was placed in the bottom two by the viewers and had to perform a tango in a dance-off against ex-footballer John Barnes, who danced a jive.
But the four judges were left unimpressed and decided to vote him off the show in last night's results programme.
Judge Len Goodman said of Thorne's performance: "Impeccable footwork. I looked at your feet and there were no balls when there should have been heels.
"Your posture, it's all those years of popping the green. It will get better, of course it will."
But judge Bruno Tonioli said he looked like "a polar bear in the Sahara" when he tried to dance.
Next week the participants will be performing a samba or an American smooth dance to stay on the show.
