The shock result led to controversy this week, with judges Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood expressing their anger at the viewers' voting habits.
Meanwhile, Logan said that she was eliminated because other contestants already have large fan bases, while she lacked "populist support".
Now professional dancer Cole, who is partnered with Kelly Brook, has insisted that Logan should not have been shocked to be voted off the show.
"At the end of the day, we all know that it is a combination of a dancing competition and a popularity contest. I don't understand why someone would go on the show if they weren't happy with that," Brendan told the Daily Star Sunday.
"A couple has to go each week and if it was mine and Kelly's turn next week I would be gutted but I would simply have to accept it. Gabby obviously wasn't doing something right because she failed to connect with the audience."
