Matt Di Angelo: "I didn't steal Flavia"

Matt Di Angelo has responded to claims that he stole his new girlfriend Flavia Cacace from her long-term partner Vincent Simone.

The actor fell for Flavia when they were paired up for the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, which saw the pair finishing in second place behind Alesha Dixon and Matthew Cutler.

Vincent, who has split from Flavia, has revealed his heartbreak in two newspaper interviews, claiming that his life has now been ruined.

However, Matt has insisted that Flavia told him she had split from Vincent before he asked her out.

"Flavia is very private about her personal life so we've never talked about what happened between her and Vincent but she said they'd split," Matt told The Mirror. "He's had a pop at me, saying I was ugly and a rubbish dancer. But we're about to start the Strictly tour so I'll see him then.

"We'll have a chat and I'll say, 'Hey Vince, are we cool?' If there's a problem we'll talk it through, like two grown men. We won't have a duel at sundown. I need him and everyone to know that I didn't steal his girlfriend."
