Husband never believed Garraway rumours

Kate Garraway's husband has insisted that he was never concerned over reports that his wife was cheating with Strictly Come Dancing partner Anton Du Beke.

Derek Draper, a former Labour spin doctor, said the stories had only served to bring the couple closer together.

They won substantial High Court damages from the Sunday Mirror and Daily Mirror last week over false allegations about Garraway's relationship with the dancer.

Draper told OK!: "It didn't occur to me for one second there was any truth to it. Had it been [Strictly stars] Gethin Jones or Matt Di Angelo I might have thought maybe for two seconds. No offence to Anton."

Talking about the possibility of a sibling for their two-year-old daughter, Garraway said: "We would love to."

Draper added: "Fingers crossed, Darcey will have a little brother or sister soon."
