2009 Reality TV Stars No.5: Chris Hollins

So 2009 wasn't exactly a vintage year for Strictly. With injuries, Arlene-gate and Anton Du Beke's blunders casting a dark cloud over the ballroom contest, the show lost out badly in the ratings battle with The X Factor. However, the one bright light in the seventh series was BBC Breakfast presenter Chris Hollins. A rank outsider at the start, he went on to light up the show with his enthusiasm and light-hearted approach.



While other contestants - naming no names - appeared desperate to remain in the contest, Hollins relished every dance like it was his last. The male population also owe Hollins a great debt for keeping his dancing partner Ola Jordan in the competition for the full stint, so we got to see more and more outrageous costumes (and plenty of flesh) from the Polish-born beauty. Mr Hollins - we salute you!
