The father of Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson is hoping to be reunited with the young breakdancer today.

Talent champ George turns 15 today and will celebrate with a one-off performance in his home town of Warrington, Cheshire. His father Brian, who has only seen George once in the past five years, is planning to attend.

"I can't wait to see George dance," Brian told the Daily Star Sunday. "At first I wasn't going to go along because I wasn't sure he'd want me there. But I have decided I have got every right to go because he is my son and I would give anything to see him perform.

"Just to see him dance would make me the proudest dad in the world. But I have also decided I will stay at the back to start with and just see how things go. If I think there could be any trouble I will just leave for George's sake."

Brian split from George's mother Lesley five years ago. Their divorce was finalised earlier this year.

He added: "The law here doesn't give estranged fathers the proper rights to see their children. I think George will want me to come and see him. I am nervous but I feel it is the right thing to do."
