More than 100 million people have already seen the 47-year-old spinster's version of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from Les Miserable, which wowed judges on the first episode of the ITV show's new series.
According to Sky, web statistics firm Visible Measures calculated that 200 videos of Boyle's song were viewed nearly 50 million times by Friday. This figure doubled over the weekend, surpassing the 18.5 million hits notched up for Barack Obama's victory speech and the 33.2 million who watched the video of George W. Bush dodging a shoe in Iraq.
Boyle, who said that she looked like a "garage" on the show, could soon match the hits tallied by Evolution Of Dance from comedian Judson Laipply, which has been viewed more than 118 million times since 2006.
