The show judge wrote in his official blog that the singer had managed to succeed in breaking America in a week, while the likes of Robbie Williams and Jonathan Ross had tried unsuccessfully for 15 years.
Morgan said: "If you think Susan Boyle mania is out of control in Britain, you should try being in America, as I am at the moment.
"Every TV show, magazine, newspaper, and radio station is absolutely obsessed with her, and it's no exaggeration to say that right now, Susan is the hottest star in the US."
He added: "The Boyle phenomenon has got so insane, I've got a horrible feeling that when I die, the headlines are now going to read: 'Judge In Susan Boyle Video Dies'."
Boyle has appeared on a number of US talk shows since her performance and was namechecked in a recent episode of Comedy Central's South Park.
