The four-piece, who reached the final of last year's Britain's Got Talent, will release their self-titled debut album later this month on Cowell's Syco label.
Speaking about having the reality TV judge as a boss, Chantal Leverton told DS: "We're incredibly lucky to be with him and his label. He is the biggest guy in the industry at the moment and is pretty influential.
"Syco are just really, really personable. We know the whole team and all the people surrounding Simon. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very creative, so we're just really fortunate to have someone like that representing us.
"He really cares, really wants us to do well, but importantly wants us to be really happy as well."
Leverton also spoke out about Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle, who Escala appeared alongside on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
"Susan Boyle was on satellite before we went on and we got to watch that," she said. "She just seemed like a really wonderful woman.
"Wow, Boylemania! She must just be so overwhelmed by it all. This is the biggest story I've ever known to come out of a reality TV show and she's just done incredibly well.
"If she just sticks to what she's good at, she'll do really well. She's a great singer and has everything going for her."
