The veteran presenter speculated on his blog that the singer may not be better off for appearing on the show, despite the opportunities she has been given.
Parkinson said: "Susan Boyle's reaction to not winning Britain's Got Talent was predictable.
"To go from a quiet life as a church volunteer in a small town in Scotland to international fame would be tough for anyone to cope with."
He added: "But to expect someone with her obvious personal problems to take it all in is ridiculous. For all the promises of fame and fortune, one wonders if Susan Boyle is happier now than she was eight weeks ago?"
On a previous blog post, Parkinson said that he was in "total agreement" with Lily Allen after the singer called Boyle "overrated".
"In my opinion, Britain's Got Talent should actually be called Britain's Got Talent?," he said.
