Susan Boyle holidays in Scotland

Susan Boyle recently returned to her native Scotland for a holiday.

The Britain’s Got Talent star is currently recording her debut album while living in Kensington, London, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The singer’s friend said: "As soon as she got some time off, there was never any chance Susan would head for St Tropez or Barbados.

"She was always going home to Blackburn. It is the place where she feels happiest and most at ease."

Boyle, who is expected to make £5 million, stayed in the council house that she has always lived in.

She attended church, read fanmail and relaxed with friends. She also ate fish and chips and went shopping.
