The Texas Tenors, comedian Grandma Lee and singer Kevin Skinner advanced to the finale following the public vote during last night's live semi-finals.
Judges Piers Morgan, David Hasselhoff and Sharon Osbourne then chose to break the show rules and select a further two acts to join them instead of the usual one.
When asked to choose between singing group the Voices Of Glory and dancing sisters The Fab Five, Morgan said: "We have decided there will be no judges' pick. We're going to send you both to the final."
During the episode, Hasselhoff had claimed that the Texas Tenors were "without a doubt the frontrunner" to win, while Morgan favoured Skinner and Osbourne put her support behind the Voices Of Glory.
Live performances were also provided by Hasselhoff, who sang 'Feeling Good', and Miss Piggy and Kermit, who performed 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart'.
Ten more semi-finalists will compete for a position in the live final next Wednesday. The winner will receive a $1 million prize and the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas.
