The former Britain's Got Talent contestant is planning to sing 'Wild Horses' when she appears on the show on Wednesday, the News of the World says.
The track will also be the first single from Boyle's debut album I Dreamed A Dream, which will be released in November.
"Her opening performance to promote her album will be in front of 20 million TV viewers, so the stakes could hardly be higher," a source said.
"But her cover of 'Wild Horses' is sensational and people will be blown away. Simon Cowell is a very happy man right now."
Cowell recently claimed that Boyle's album will sell "millions".
