Skinner reacts to 'America's Got Talent' win

America's Got Talent winner Kevin Skinner has revealed that he is planning to use his prize money to help his family, friends and other people.

The country singer and farmer from Mayfield, KY triumphed over opera singer Barbara Padilla in the live final to scoop $1m and the opportunity to headline a Las Vegas show.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: "I thought it might never happen... It was a mystery standing right up to the end. Barbara has a phenomenal voice. I know she is going to have a great career."

He went on to say that he wants to use the money to help those around him but that he might buy himself a new truck if there was any left over.

"I have a pretty decent vehicle. I am not much of a material person. As long as my family is taken care of I am happy."
