Janey Cutler received a standing ovation after wowing judges and audience members alike at auditions in Glasgow, The Sun reports.
It is thought that Cutler had given a memorable rendition of Edith Piaf's 'Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien' in front of panellists Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
One witness said: "It was that amazing moment where everyone realises something very special has just happened. Janey was fabulous and the judges were blown away. She's the one to beat. Definitely."
Cutler's audition success has already drawn comparisons to Susan Boyle, who became an overnight sensation last year thanks to her performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' at the Glasgow try-outs.
Britain's Got Talent will return to screens later this year.
