Cheeky Girls audition for 'Got Talent'

Popstars the Cheeky Girls have auditioned as a dance act on Britain's Got Talent.

Twins Monica and Gabriela Irimia, 27, who found fame on Popstars: The Rivals, performed a ballroom routine for the judges yesterday, reports The Sun.

"They've revamped their act and it's just dancing. They arrived at the auditions yesterday absolutely full of themselves," said a source.

"They were really excited about appearing on the show and already talking about what they would perform if they got through."

The Irimia sisters recently appeared on the Romanian version of Dancing With The Stars, with Monica going on to win the show.

According to The Mirror, the singers impressed producers at the early audition rounds before Christmas.

"You can imagine the groans when the girls are wheeled on stage. Everyone will be expecting them to sing another one of their dreadful songs," said a show insider.

"But instead, they will be joined by two men for a routine that will have the panel gobsmacked. No-one will be expecting it - and the biggest surprise is that they're actually brilliant dancers."

The Cheeky Girls scored four top ten hits in the '00s with tracks such as 'The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)', 'Take Your Shoes Off' and '(Hooray, Hooray!) It's a Cheeky Holiday'.
