A circus act on the new series of Britain's Got Talent have experience of working on TV with Ant & Dec, it has been revealed.

The collective The Circus of Horrors appeared on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and persuaded the presenters to get involved in their act.

On Britain's Got Talent they earned three 'yes' votes from the new judging panel, thanks to a routine which involves fire-blowing and sword-swallowing. David Hasselhoff told the group: "It made me a little homesick. It reminded me of Hollywood Boulevard full of wacked-out freaks. I felt it was very entertaining."

When they appeared on Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant & Dec participated in fire limbo dancing and having snakes put on their bare backs.

The Circus of Horrors have also previously played the Royal Command Performance and V Graham Norton.

Britain's Got Talent is open to professional and amateur acts, and a number of performers on the show in previous years have had TV experience.

Britain's Got Talent returns on Saturday at 8.20pm on ITV1.
