Britain's Got Talent acts New Bounce and Jean Martyn have progressed to the final following tonight's live semi-final.

After last night's selection of singer Ronan Parke and pianist Paul Gbegbaje, eight acts performed in front of the judging panel.

Teen singers New Bounce, magicians David & Karen and 59-year-old organist Martyn were put through to the top three by the public vote, with New Bounce triumphing to gain an automatic place in the series finale on Saturday June 4.

The four performers, aged 12 to 16, said that they plan to "give it [their] all, everything [they've] got" at Saturday's climax.

Faced with Martyn and David & Karen, David Hasselhoff applauded both acts before telling hosts Ant & Dec: "I loved the magic act, but for pure entertainment value I must go with Jean."

Similarly, Michael McIntyre said that both acts "have been brilliant, right from the auditions". He added: "It's very difficult, but if I'm brutally honest about who I want to see again, and again and again, it's got to be Jean."

Without hesitation, Amanda Holden put Martyn through to the final, saying that she had been "rooting" for her throughout the process.

Although Simon Cowell's vote was not needed, he told the performer: "Jean, you've got a full house. Four yeses."

Commenting on their defeat in the semi-final, David said: "There's a lot of great magicians in the UK and somebody is going to be back here and somebody will get to the final."

Karen added: "It's been an absolutely amazing experience, thank you to everyone."

Ant & Dec previously revealed that Britney Spears impersonator Lorna Bliss, crooner Herbie Armstrong, table-slapping duo Up & Over It, dance trio Two And A Half Men and circus act Enchantment had all been rejected by the public vote.

The third Britain's Got Talent semi-final takes place tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV1.
