Simon Cowell's entertainment company Syco/Sony Music has denied online allegations that Britain's Got Talent finalist Ronan Parke was signed to them before the show.

An anonymous blog post was spread around internet sites and Twitter this morning, claiming to have insider knowledge on 12-year-old Parke's connections to the company.

However, reps for Syco/Sony Music have issued a statement sternly denying any such links.

"There has been speculation on the internet that Britain's Got Talent finalist Ronan Parke was known to and worked with Syco/Sony Music before entering the show. There is no truth in this story whatsoever," said the spokesperson.

"Ronan first came to Syco/Sony's attention when he entered this year's competition. Syco/Sony Music will not hesitate to take whatever legal action is appropriate to prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations."

Parke was described as a star by the Britain's Got Talent judges after his rendition of 'Feeling Good' at the audition stages. He also won the public vote in the first live semi-final on Monday following his cover of 'Make You Feel My Love'.

He will be one of ten acts taking part in Saturday's live final on ITV1.
