'Got Talent' Sugar Dandies: 'We want to be first gay men in space'

By
Britain's Got Talent duo the Sugar Dandies have claimed that they plan to take up Simon Cowell's offer to send this year's show winner into space.

Cowell suggested earlier this year that he would be willing to throw in a trip to space for the BGT champion as well as a £500,000 cash prize.

Speaking about that possible prize, duo Soren and Bradley said: "We have heard that on top of the £500,000, the winner will get a Virgin Galactic trip to space. That would be as exciting as winning £500,000.

"If we win, we could be the first gay men in space!"

The ballroom duo continued: "It would be a wonderful thing to win the thing and have £500,000. It would be a wonderful thing for the Sugar Dandies. People could see on Saturday night that we loved each other and loved to dance.

"If that can encourage some people to dance and if we can encourage some people to be more themselves that would be nice and that's all we really want."

Commenting on the support that David Walliams gave them after their first audition, the pair added: "I think he was genuinely moved and it was wonderful to move someone like that is some way. It was an honour.

"t was also an honour to impress Alesha Dixon, who obviously has a great dance background. We were nervous about what she might say."

Britain's Got Talent airs on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV1.
