"I've seen The Artist, and Uggie is really cute and he is great, but I know my Pudsey could perform on camera, too. He would be great in a film," Butler told the Daily Express.
Speaking to The Sun, she added: "I could totally see him in films, he really knows how to pose for the camera and I reckon he'd make a better actor than Lassie."
Simon Cowell was a huge fan of Ashleigh & Pudsey on Saturday's Got Talent auditions show and has previously stated that he would love to discover a "new Lassie" on the ITV1 programme.
He also claimed at the show's launch this year that he would be willing to perform with a dog act if they reached the live final.
Britain's Got Talent airs on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV1.
