Rainford won a spot in this weekend's BGT final last night, following her rendition of 'It Must Have Been Love'.
Talking to Digital Spy this morning about her insprations and heroes, she said: "I like listening to Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson. All the big divas. They all have their own style and big voices. Beyoncé is a performer, Mariah has an amazing voice and range and Jennifer has the most powerful voice. They all have their own thing."
"To be compared to Mariah [by the judges] was amazing. That made me feel so proud. It made me feel like I'd done a good job. To get a compliment like that was amazing - I keep saying amazing!
"Mariah Carey can go so high with her voice and she has such a beautiful voice. To be compared to her is amazing."
The 11-year-old singer confessed that she found Simon Cowell "a little bit scary", but claimed that she was "more excited than anything" when performing on the BGT stage.
"It was just amazing. I thought I was going to lose to Twist & Pulse. I thought if they all got 100 votes each, I've got no chance," she said.
"I've been singing ever since I was little, but I've only been practising and doing competitions for a couple of years. But I'm always singing around the house at home."
Rainford also said that the one thing she would like to spend the potential £500,000 prize money on if she wins the show is a new pet dog.
"There is one thing I want, but I'm not sure whether it will happen. I want a micro teacup Yorkie puppy. Me and my mum both want one, but my dad is hesitating a little bit," she said.
Britain's Got Talent's live semi-finals continue tonight (May 9) on ITV1.
