Britain's Got Talent semi-final 4 as it happens: Live Blog

By
Last night saw an opera singer and three men in heels progress to the Britain's Got Talent final.

Tonight, we have two golden buzzer choices, a posh violinist, fire dancers, light dancers and much more. Only two acts can go through, who will it be?

Ant and Dec

Join us from 7.30pm when we'll be live-blogging the skills and silliness on ITV.

21:59So that's it from us tonight, what did you think of the result?

21:57

21:57The public were behind Lettice and she goes through to the final!

21:57Simon votes for Lettice taking it to Deadlock... sorry public vote.

21:56Amanda gives a vote to the Irish.

21:55David votes to put Lettice through, Alesha votes for Innovo to "even it out".

21:53If Bart Simpson was a real human being, he'd look like the BAM rapper.

21:53Going straight to the final are Bars and Melody.

21:52The Irish dancers are also in the Top Three. My whole house gasps!

21:51Lettice is in the Top Three.

21:51Bars and Melody are in the Top Three.

21:50All the acts are back and I genuinely have no idea who is going to get the most votes.

21:44Wow, Ant and Dec talking to will.i.am is even more awkward than Simon and David's interaction's tonight.

21:43Strange how one performance could be so weird and yet so boring at the same time.

21:40Can the judges buzz the guest performers?

21:39Time for a performance. Tonight it's from will.i.am and Cody Wise, with a guest appearance from autotune.

21:37Ah Ant and Dec's awkward backstage talks, which lucky act will they inform has been trending tonight?

21:36I'm putting my money on a Bars and Melody/Light Balance/Lettice top three.

21:34Let's have a quick recap for all those with memories like goldfish.

21:33Aaaaaand we're back!

20:59Join us back here at 9.30 for the results!

20:56So all the acts have performed, who do you want to go through?

20:55Tempted to make a joke about a camel calling Lettice asking for his toe back... but it's before the watershed.

20:53Despite "loving the first half of the act, hating the second half", Simon still thinks she's one of the best acts on the show. What do you all think?

20:51Wait, did someone slip me some acid? What did I just watch?

20:49Violin player Lettice is up next. She is named after salad and sound EXACTLY like Miranda Hart, what's not to like?

20:45

20:42I love it when Alesha speaks like she's a rap expert. "Mis-Teeq with the bump and flex" is just one example of a truly classic lyric.

20:40A choir? Simon Cowell joining in with waving a little candle? I have a feeling they really want them to go through.

20:38They just told Ellen DeGeneras that they've only visited America once (when they appeared on her show) so why do they rap with an American accent?

20:37Next up is Bars and Melody, Simon Cowell's golden buzzer act.

20:32Another ad break! This is the perfect opportunity to cover myself in Christmas lights and dance away!

20:31Simon Cowell claims they are the saviours of the show. It certainly would add a bit of variety to the final. What do you all think?

20:29How do they see what they're doing in the pitch black?

20:27Light Balance are up now. Also not singers!

20:26That song was a number one. In Germany, Austria and Holland. Just remember that at the next Eurovision.

20:25David Walliams appears to be the only judge who likes it. Surprisingly.

20:23This is like the 'Cha Cha Slide' but with only one move. And not as catchy.

20:21Next up is Allan Turner-Ward. She has the same voice as every wedding DJ in the land!

20:21Twitter going mad that Toju is also 'Militant Black Guy'. I have no idea what they're all talking about. Someone please fill me in!!

20:13Alesha said she "nailed it". All it will take is Cowell saying she has "the likeability factor" and it will be like The X Factor.

20:10Preparing myself for 'singers should go on X Factor' comments.

20:09She could be Sam Bailey's cousin.

20:09Next up we have Eva Iglesias. She is a singer... with a sob story.

20:09I was quite looking forward to Simon slating him... but he quite liked it. Weird.

20:06I take it everyone is sewing up their split sides after that hilarious performance?

20:02Toju is up next, he is also not a singer!

20:01Cowell disagree saying it was "brilliant". David Walliams also thinks it was great.

20:00Amanda Holden agrees! She was also hoping to be "more scared".

20:00That was it? What happened to the promise of it being the most dangerous act on BGT?

19:57Next up is Pyroterra, and they aren't singers! Hoo-rah!

19:55

19:51And despite goading from Cowell, there is no on-stage proposal.

19:50Cowell says "In the range of your capabilities, you did really well." Lovely backhanded compliment there.

19:48Well, it was no Freddie Mercury.

19:47Does anyone remember when that high-pitched guy did this as a duet by himself a few years ago? Where has the classic entertainment like that gone?

19:46The bitter cynic in me wants them to have a row on stage and break up. Too harsh?

19:45Next up we have operatic duo Kieran and Sarah.

19:40After all that action, it's time to go to a break!

19:39All the judges sing their praises... Simon Cowell brings them down by saying they need more dancers and a "lead star". Is he hoping Michael Flatley joins them?

19:37Admittedly it was much more entertaining than I thought it would be!

19:37So they included some modern songs and a selfie, but was enough to make Irish dancing look young and hip?

19:35Up first is Irish dancing act Innova, they want to put Ireland back on the map. I didn't realise it was ever taken off?

19:32Simon Cowell is wearing one of his 500 plunging shirt/jean combos.

19:32Here come the judges! Alesha looks like a ladybird wearing a shield.

19:30Welcome welcome guys, who is looking forward to the fourth semi-final?
