Andrew Johnston, the choirboy who finished third in this year's Britain's Got Talent reality show, has signed a six-figure record contract with Simon Cowell.
The 13-year-old from Carlisle will join Cowell's roster of artists - including Leona Lewis, Shayne Ward and Paul Potts - at his SyCo Music label.
"I'm so excited. This is a dream come true," Johnston told the Daily Record.
Johnston is currently performing on the Britain's Got Talent live tour. He will record his debut album over the summer and release it later in the year.
His mother Morag added that her son "can't wait to get into the studio".
