The dancer, who won the second series of Got Talent, claimed that the BBC reality programme would improve the standard of the ITV1 show.
George Sampson talks to Digital Spy:
"Last year I didn't watch much of it. Jai won it, and I met him and he was a really nice guy and I wished I'd watched it more," he told Digital Spy.
"But this year with the back-to-back with The Voice, I'm probably going to watch to get a opinion on it all. They've got competition now."
Offering advice to this year's BGT acts, he added: "Just do your thing. Whether you get through or not, just do your thing."
Sampson is currently promoting his latest big-screen role in StreetDance 2, which is released in cinemas later this week.
