'Britain's Got Talent' semi-final 3: Live Blog

By
Dancers, singers, cabaret performers and a fancy juggler. It's just another night at the Britain's Got Talent circus, and we're all invited!

In this third live semi-final, nine more acts will be taking to the stage hoping, above all else, not to fall over, fluff their lyrics, be eclipsed by J-Lo's bum or be buzzed by Simon Cowell.

So join Digital Spy as we take a ringside seat, munch nachos and find out which two acts will pull out all the stops to win our vote and head into the live final...

20:58Thanks for joining DS, and hope you enjoyed it this evening! If not, unfortunately none of us will be able to get that hour and half of our lives back. Nevermind. If you're willing and able, don't forget to pop back at 9.30pm (or even 9.50pm) to see who'll be making it through to the live final. G'night, all!

20:58There is a JJ in Union J, right?

20:55Well well well. That was yer lot. For the recap Ant says it's another chance to see 'all nine talented turns', although we could've sworn he said 'turds'.

20:53Simon describes most of tonight's performances as like watching a cheap holiday camp. Luckily for him, this exact line-up will probably be starring at Butlins later in the year!

Luminites

20:53Following on from the example set by MckNasty, there's another rucksack on stage. What's with the luggage on show this year?

20:51Definitely more fit for purpose on The X Factor, but Luminites were actually pretty good! They could be in with a chance of getting through. Well, top three at least. Or maybe top five.

20:49Lastly (yes, we all made it in one piece!) is Luminites. Are we sure that one in the middle isn't from Union J?

20:46Simon thinks he's the musical mastermind, but David is the real producer here. He comes up with MC Boy feat. Alesha. It has Number One written all over it, no?

MC Boy

20:45Most of the budget for this seems to have gone on MC Boy's hat. Simon buzzes, obviously. Shortly followed by Amanda. Like a dad with a toddler at nursery, David again holds SImon's hands to make him clap along against his will...

20:43It's MC Boy now, who wrote a vaguely dodgy and very annoying song. It's no 'Where me keys where me phone', that's all I'll say. That was the original irritating, self-penned rubbish BGT dance track!

20:39

20:36Joseph lays it out on the line. He wants to be knighted by the Queen, go to space and be Simon Cowell. Who wants to break the news to him that all of those things will never ever happen?

20:34Joseph was Amanda's favourite act of the evening. Which just shows what a dodgy semi-final it's been.

20:33You can't cheat, Joseph, and make yourself into a troupe with six digital versions of yourself!

20:32Woah, where did that mirrored screen go?! Was that Stevie Pink making it disappear before our very eyes?

20:31All-spinning, all-flipping and hopefully no-slipping Joseph Hall is up next.

20:28And still Bowers's love for Pre-Skool rumbles on... Does he have shares in them or something?

20:25Rosie is talented and seems lovely. Looking at most of the nonsense she's up against, she could well be heading into the final...

20:25She makes Ant and Dec look like inhabitants of Lilliput, as David wheels out the good ole' 'you were born to sing', Alesha 'nails' and Simon has a 'sensational'. They've all officially run out of stuff to say.

Rosie O'Sullivan

20:22Now it's time for a guaranteed knockout vocal with Rosie, who goes for an old classic. We don't mean the song, but more the dry ice and swaying backing dancers. Vintage.

20:21Simon says he 'knows what's coming tomorrow' and that he 'surrenders'. What does he know that we don't? Frightening.

20:18David is also impressed as to what he can do with his balls. Although in the age of Operation Yewtree, saying that to a teenager on TV is shaky ground.

20:17It's amazing what a sequinned green jacket and some scantily-clad women can do to some balls. Cough.

20:15His mum says of her son: 'If there's something on the television, there's often something going in the right hand.' I'm just going to leave that one there.

Thomas Bounce

20:14Up now is Thomas Bounce, if that's your real name...

20:12Pre-Skool were in no way worth this amount of exclamation marks or capital letters. How easily impressed is Dane Bowers?

20:08Amanda promises to kiss Si if they get through to the finals. That has us reaching for the phone. And by phone, we actually mean sick bucket.

20:07And Pro's a fan...

20:06In what has so far been an evening of beige, Pre-Skool were actually not half bad. Although really that says more about Robbie, Freelusion, etc than anything else.

20:055-year-olds pump dancing to Rihanna is all sorts of wrong.

Pre-Skool

20:04Up now is the very cute and even more mediocre dance - shudder - troupe Pre-Skool. Prepare to see a bunch of small children crying at 9.45pm.

20:02Simon says it was awful, while Amanda thinks the music belonged in a porn film. Gawd. Is it over? Can we look now?

20:01Amanda and Alesha are like two pissed women in the corner of a pub.

20:00Oh, that was it? A Chippendale on a motorbike? Alesha, rightly, buzzes post performance.

19:59With talk of bedrooms and such, this is all getting a bit... sinister...

19:58No, we do not want to see more of you. No no no.

Stevie Pink performs on the 3rd 'Britain's Got Talent' Semi Final Show

Stevie Pink

19:58It's now time for Stevie Pink, who says "why be normal when you can be pink and fluffy?", adding he's been dreaming of this for 20 years. I don't know where to start with all of that.

19:54As long as you don't wear it out of the house, Carol...

19:53Ant tries to tempt us back after the ad break with promises of Pre-Skool and Stevie Pink. Anyone want to hit the pub?

19:51All of the judges loved it. Apart from SImon, obviously. Robbie just strikes me as a Welsh, un-tattooed James Arthur-esque bod. Do we really need another Arthur? You be the judge...

19:49Robbie's gone for the rock steady, failsafe mum vote with this Bryan Adams tribute act. With months to prepare for this performance, can't help but feel he could've picked a better song. Eep.

Robbie Kennedy

19:47Up now is hot favourite Robbie Kennedy. Will he do a SuBo and buckle under the pressure? Will he smash it?

19:40Amanda makes a pop at 'all the other women' in Cowell's life. Ouch. She's so mean having a go at Lou-Lou like that.

19:40Alesha wants the boxes back, Simon doesn't want the boxes. Do you care about the boxes? I don't give a wotsit about the boxes.

19:37This looks good n' all, but surely the real talent is that of the graphic designers?

Freelusion perform on the 3rd 'Britain's Got Talent' Semi Final Show

Freelusion

19:36Up first is Freelusion, who you won't mind us saying have naff all chance of making it through to the final.

19:35Amanda says she saw Mr Pink in the corridor. Does she think this is all a Reservoir Dogs remake?

19:34Ant and Dec, who looks strangely like an airline pilot in his suit this evening, introduce Amanda - who has come dressed as a foiled wrap from Pret - and Alesha - wearing a tie-dye napkin - alongside Simon and David as they walk onto the stage.

19:30A very good evening, Britain's Got Talent fans! Hope you have plenty of Pringles and fizzy pop on hand as we prepare for another hour and a half of the bonkers and the brilliant. Here we go!
