The Apprentice

The Apprentice

Reckon you're a match for 'Britain's most belligerent boss?' Launched in February 2005, The Apprentice sees budding entrepreneurs battling it out to impress Amstrad founder Lord Alan Sugar, taking part in a series of business-themed tasks over a number of weeks. The finalists are then put through gruelling interviews by Lord Sugar and his trusted advisors. Lord Sugar's caustic and colourful put-downs have been frequently parodied in popular culture, and the show has won numerous awards including a BAFTA.

For the show's 10th anniversary in 2014, 20 candidates will take part, and Lord Sugar will be assisted once again by the UK government's small business ambassador Karren Brady and Countdown host Nick Hewer.
