'Apprentice' runner-up enjoys "big payday"
Apprentice runner-up Claire Young has spoken about her delight after being accepted for a job with Birmingham City.

The businesswoman landed a lucrative contract worth more than £100,000 per year after wowing the football club's managing director Karen Brady.

Brady interviewed the semi-finalists in the penultimate episode of the show and vowed to hire Claire if Sir Alan Sugar did not. Young then lost out to rival contestant Lee McQueen in the final.

Claire told The Mirror: "The Birmingham job is my big payday. The total package is more than Sir Alan was paying."

McQueen finally started his job with Sugar last week after missing his first week of work due to illness.
