Wotherspoon 'disagrees' with Rocky firing
Published Tuesday, Apr 7 2009, 07:48 BST | By Lara Martin
Former Apprentice candidate Alex Wotherspoon has admitted that he "totally disagrees" with Sir Alan Sugar's decision to fire Rocky Andrews.
Speaking at last night's Digital Spy Reality TV Awards, Wotherspoon claimed that the sandwich shop owner had not been given a fair chance to "vocalise his opinions" because of his age.
"I think that being so young, you go into The Apprentice with a stigma attached that a 21-year-old like Rocky wouldn't be able to get into the final and wouldn't be able to work with Sir Alan," he said.
"In definition, the epitome of an apprentice is somebody who is young, with talent, who needs to be moulded."
Wotherspoon added that his favourites to win the show were Phillip Taylor and Kate Walsh, explaining: "Phillip is straight talking and straight to the point. He doesn't pussy-foot around anything and he comes across well. Kate is quite astute as well."
