McQueen was instrumental in securing the deal for Amscreen to show adverts and traffic information at sites owned by BP, What's On TV reports.
Sir Alan said: "I made the right decision choosing him. Lee has been working very hard for the past year and has progressed well, having played a key role in these negotiations.
"He has proved that I made the right decision by choosing him as the Apprentice, although you can rest assured I won't be letting him rest on his laurels.
"He still has a lot to learn as we continue the work of establishing Amscreen as a major player in the digital signage market."
McQueen said: "Although I played my part, this was very much a team effort and it's testament to the hard work put in by everyone at Amscreen.
"Since winning The Apprentice, I have learnt a huge amount from Sir Alan and Simon Sugar and although it continues to be very challenging, I am loving every minute of it and I hope this is the first of many big deals to come."
