7.5m see Noorul fired from 'Apprentice'
The latest episode of The Apprentice performed well for BBC One, according to overnight viewing figures.

7.46m (30.5%) tuned in for the sixth episode of the reality series at 9pm, which saw Noorul Choudhury become the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan.

The penultimate episode of Channel 4's Grand Designs was seen by 2.03m (8.3%), Five's Extraordinary People: Octopus Man took 1.07m (4.4%) and BBC Two weather documentary Rain managed 1m (4.1%).

Midsomer Murders averaged 4.13m (17.7%) for ITV1 between 8pm and 10pm.

Earlier, at 8pm, Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies put in 2.94m (13.3%), and the final episode of Jo Brand's The Speaker grabbed 1m (4.1%) for BBC Two.

The latest visit to Waterloo Road drew 3.98m (18.1%) for BBC One, while Five's Oil Riggers interested 823k (3.7%).

Overall, BBC One came top during primetime with an average share of 22.8% to ITV1's 20.8%. Channel 4 was third with 8.6% (+1: 1%), followed by BBC Two with 6.4% and Five's 3.3%.

Elsewhere, BBC Four documentary Mud, Sweat And Tractors: The Story Of Agriculture logged 360k (1.6%) at 9pm, beating ITV2's Gossip Girl, which was seen by 211k (1%).

The finale episode of Newswipe With Charlie Brooker pulled in 175k (1.3%) for BBC Four between 10.30pm and 11pm.
