The former beauty queen argued that Taylor was more interested in rival candidate Paula Jones at the start of the series. She also joked that Walsh "could do better" for herself than the County Durham estate agent.
"As far as I know, Phil fancied Paula," she told DS. "Then after Paula got fired, he suddenly fancied Kate. If it is genuine then fine, but I really think Kate could do better."
Speaking about the couple's romantic wooing in the house, Lewis said: "Of course we noticed! What did I think? Well they are two adults, both single, nothing to lose, who fancied each other.
"You go through that process and by week seven...well you have needs!"
Taylor claimed earlier this week that he could see himself settling down and marrying Walsh.
The Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
