Clarke: 'Apprentice' lovers seem besotted

Fired Apprentice candidate Ben Clarke has claimed that Phillip Taylor seems "absolutely besotted" with fellow contestant Kate Walsh.

Speaking to Heat, Clarke dismissed speculation that their romance is not for real, insisting that the relationship is sincere.

"I don't like to get my hands dirty on other people's muck, but I am very friendly with both of them. Phil seems absolutely besotted with Kate and I really hope they last," he said.

"After the show's over, I'd love to have them over for dinner with me and my girlfriend. Phil likes his Jack The Lad banter, and that's kind of the way I am."

Revealing when he discovered the pair's attraction, he said: "Phil was one of the few single guys in the house and flirted with Kate straight away, rather than any of the other girls. Kate obviously quite liked Phil as well.

"So that developed, and on one of our days off we had a few drinks in the penthouse. I went to get another beer and the pair of them were pulling in the kitchen! The first thing I thought was, 'Go on, my son!'"
