17-year-old Rhys Rosser has became the third candidate to be fired by Lord Alan Sugar on tonight's Junior Apprentice.

Market seller Adam Eliaz also departed the reality show after falling sick during filming.

Speaking to Eliaz in the boardroom, Sugar said: "For me and the rest of the guys it has got to be business as usual... get yourself back home to your mum and dad and jump into bed."

Rosser was axed from the programme after his stint as project manager for Team Revolution ended in failure. His team made a loss of £89.74 in the cupcake design and sales task, while the Zoe Plummer-lead Team Instinct racked up a profit of £15.15.

Plummer's victorious team were rewarded with a trip for tea with multi-millionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson.

Rosser brought back Hannah Cherry and Tim Ankers back in the boardroom, telling Sugar that the pair were holding back on the task.

"I think that is another reason why Tim and Hannah wanted to be in the backroom," he said. "'Oh let's make him make the mistakes, let's wait for someone else to trip up and fall'... I wouldn't call it sabotage, I'd call it tactics. They were all very happy to see the task go down the drain."

Tim Ankers defended his actions on the challenge, insisting that he "worked hard". An unimpressed Sugar replied: "A hamster in a wheel works hard but it still goes round and round in circles!"

However, after some deliberation, Sugar opted to point the finger of blame at Rosser. He told the A Level student: "Rhys I'm convinced you've got it in you. You've got fire in your belly for sure. It comes out maybe at the wrong time.

"Rhys, you are a very special person don't ever forget that - I said it. This is a milestone. Rhys I've made my decision - you're fired!"

The Junior Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
