Brady was chosen to replace Margaret Mountford, who quit the show at the end of the last series, as one of Lord Alan Sugar's aides on the BBC show.
The businesswoman told ITV's Daybreak that she did not feel "pressure" replacing Mountford, but admitted that as a viewer of the show, she had been upset to learn of her exit.
"I wouldn't say pressure, but you know when Margaret stepped down I think everyone was really sad about that - myself included, because I love the show and love watching it," she said.
"I've been in the celebrity one and done the interviewing, so she is very much part of the show, but when she decided she didn't want to do it anymore and Alan asked me of course I was thrilled because I love the show."
Hewer added: "Karren does it differently and does it so differently and brings so much to the show. It was a seamless transition because Karren is a businesswoman and Margaret never was, and I wasn't really - Karren is the genuine thing."
However, Brady jokingly commented: "I don't have any eyebrow action I'm afraid!"
