Digital Spy readers have picked Helen Milligan as their winner of this year's series of The Apprentice.

The former CEO's assistant emerged victorious from a close-fought battle with Tom Pellereau after 36.4% of you chose her to go into business with Lord Sugar. And with a record ten task victories under her belt, plus the backing of Nick Hewer, she's got to be the frontrunner for tonight's final.

Inventor Tom finished on a respectable 32.1% in our exclusive poll, while 18.5% of you plumped for The Apprentice's youngest-ever contestant and greatest "Cassandra" since Lorraine Tighe of series five, Susan Ma.

'Jedi' Jim Eastwood, however, was not the winner you were looking for, as he collected just 13% of the vote.

Milligan may have got the thumbs up from Digital Spy, but with the final four's business plans still to get a grilling from the likes of Margaret Mountford and Claude Littner, who knows who Lord Sugar will pick to receive that £250,000 investment?

The Apprentice final airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One and you can catch Digital Spy's thoughts on the hiring and firings in our live blog.
