'The Apprentice' return date confirmed by Lord Alan Sugar

The Apprentice will be back early next month, Lord Alan Sugar has confirmed.

The reality TV show will return with two episodes in a week, beginning on Tuesday, May 7 on BBC One. The second episode will air a day later on Wednesday, May 8.

The show will then run every Wednesday at 9pm for the remainder of the series.

Two trailers for the new series have been running on BBC One for the past few weeks, one teasing boardroom drama and one where Lord Sugar is Goldfinger.

Last series saw Ricky Martin crowned the winner, with the final scoring almost 7 million viewers in its Sunday slot.
