The pair both participated in the charity version of the reality show, but MacKenzie claimed Kholi's irritating behaviour was absent from the final edit.
Writing in The Sun, he said: "To my mind it didn't make Hardeep Singh Kholi look a big enough d**k.
"Throughout the four days of filming he was a pain in the rear end. He claims to be a comedian - but I've seen funnier things come out of Eliot Spitzer's underpants."
Former tabloid editor MacKenzie also argued that Kohli's repeated deliberate mispronunciation of fellow contestant Lembit Opik's name as "Lemsip" was offensive.
He added: "Supposing Lembit had referred to him [Kholi] as Hardup, them almost certainly there would have been a massive 'race row'."
