Saira 'delighted' with 'Apprentice' portrayal
Former Apprentice contestant Saira Khan has revealed she was "delighted" with how she was portrayed on the BBC reality show.

The entrepreneur and TV presenter finished runner-up to Tim Campbell in the first series but didn't think her strong personality prevented her from winning.

"I was absolutely delighted with how I was presented because that is me," Saira told DS. "I am forceful, I am assertive, I am gobby and I go out and make things happen for myself. If people don't like that then that's their problem."

She added: "I think being annoyed at coming second is actually a losers' game, I think you've got to be proud of what you've achieved and go out there and make the most of the opportunity."

Saira, who hosts the CBBC young entrepreneur show Beat The Boss and runs her own company Miamoo, admitted her new series would present "a really good battle" between the 'Cheeky Bright Sparks' team, aged between 8 and 12, and a group of entrepreneurs called 'the Big Shots'.

"I am really impressed [with the kids] because most people don't give them credit," said Saira. "What really makes me amazed is that they really know the language of business. When I talk to them about market research and product design they really know what I'm talking about."

The new series of The Apprentice began last night on BBC One. Series three of Beat The Boss starts on BBC One on March 27.
