The former tabloid editor beat 13 contestants including Lennox Lewis, KISS frontman Gene Simmons and actor Stephen Baldwin to scoop £125,000 for charity.
Morgan, 42, described himself as an "evil, obnoxious, disgusting Brit" in the last boardroom showdown, where he faced singer Trace Adkins.
Host Donald Trump described the final as "good versus evil, America versus Britain", branding Morgan as "a vicious guy".
After announcing him as the winner, Trump said: "You're tough, you're smart, you're probably brilliant, I'm not sure. You're certainly not diplomatic.
"But you did an amazing job and you beat the hell out of everybody. And you won by far more than anybody."
Richard Branson, the Duchess of York and Simon Cowell were among friends to lend Morgan a helping hand over the two-month series.
He entered the British version of the show last year, where he became the only hopeful to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar.
