Simon Smith: 'I was like David Brent'

The satellite TV engineer, who became the fourth contestant to be voted off the show yesterday, said his mental deterioration on the programme made him look ridiculous.
Talking about his exit from the show, Smith told DS: "I blew it spectacularly and it's a real David Brent unraveling moment."
Smith was voted off the show after he took a project manager role and ended up making a financial loss for Sir Alan Sugar.
Explaining his failure, the 35-year-old said: "A dis-unified team, wasn't it? I didn't get any backing from any of the candidates."
The former Royal Artillery NCO also claimed that fellow contestant Claire Young has her cards marked by Sir Alan Sugar and could well exit the show soon.
He said: "Claire was a very good manager but when she's not in charge, she's not happy with it. That's something she's going to have to address now because Sir Alan's pulled her up on it.
"He really ripped into her - I've never seen him get that angry in a boardroom - and he's marked her cards.
"All I would say is that she'd better start impressing him soon because if she messes up, she will be out."
