Another 'Apprentice' candidate fired

Sir Alan Sugar opted to axe the business liaison manager over Lucinda Ledgerwood and Jennifer Maguire after their team lost in an ice cream marketing challenge.
Led by Lucinda, Team Alpha took £1,273.64 in ice cream sales but, after securing exclusivity deals with local cinemas and chain pubs, fell over £100 short of Team Renaissance.
Lucinda took Jennifer and Lindi back into the boardroom because of their reluctance to work with other members of the team.
She said: "It was the looks you gave, and also people in this team are not comfortable with how you were and how you are. I'm not name-calling here; they can stand up for themselves."
Commenting on her project manager, Jennifer said: "I didn't say you were a bad project manager, I just thought it was indifferent to me."
An angry Sir Alan chastised Jennifer for offering exclusivity deals while selling ice cream, and warned Lucinda that she should "start assessing the risk" of her getting fired.
However, he decided to fire Lindi instead, arguing that she failed in her role as head of sales.
He told her: "Lindi, you were second in command, second in command for what I think was the most important thing in this task - identifying customers and selling the merchandise.
"And it's sales that you lost this task on, and that brings me to a conclusion that Lindi, you're fired!"
Lindi claimed afterwards that Sir Alan had made a mistake in firing her because she is "special".
