The 29-year-old retail buyer met the mystery sportsman as she celebrated the end of filming for the BBC One reality show in her home town of Wakefield. Claire and fellow contestants Jenny Celerier, Helene Speight and Lindi Mngaza attracted attention from members of the Sedgley Tigers, a Manchester team in Rugby Union's National League Division One, while they partied at the town's Havana Bar.
After chatting up one of the players, Young soon left the nightspot and went back to his flat, where they spent the night together.
"Claire joked that she was left speechless for once when her hunk stripped off because his body was stunning," a source told The People. "She was really impressed with his energy and muscles and said they never stopped all night. Claire likes big bulky men and this guy ticked all her boxes.
"After being cooped up in The Apprentice house for weeks she was determined to let down her hair and lots more besides. She had a big grin for weeks after."
A witness at the bar added: "Claire really had the hots for one of them. Jenny was getting off with another lad but Helene and Lindi weren't interested. Nobody knew them because the show hadn't started on TV."
An Apprentice spokesman said: "We don't comment on contestants' personal lives."
