Wotherspoon, 25, who lost out in last night's final to Lee McQueen, was criticised by some of his fellow contestants for his behaviour in the boardroom during the series.
However, the regional sales manager argued that he was portrayed in a negative light by the show's editing.
"You do what you do to progress through the process," Wotherspoon told DS. "The viewer only sees a certain amount and they paint you as a certain character.
"I don't have any regrets about anything, to be honest."
He added: "People don't understand that I'm a real person and that this is my life. I've come so far - I've given up my house, sold my car, left my girlfriend behind."
