Cupcake wars on the 'Junior Apprentice'
Published Wednesday, May 26 2010, 00:02 BST | By Alex Fletcher | 1 comment
After flogging cheese in week one and coming up with some dreadful camping product ideas in week two (Flex N Store R.I.P.), it would have been good and decent of Lord Alan Sugar to go easy on his Junior applicants third time around. But this is Lord Sugar we're talking about..."If this was meant to be easy, I would have put it on CBeebies!"
After some switches to the teams, Sir Alan Sugar sends Team Instinct (Tim, Rhys, Kirsty, Hannah) and Team Revolution (Zoe, Emma, Adam, Arjun) off to design, decorate and sell cupcakes. Yummy!

Women love cheese. But do women love cupcakes? Adam looks perplexed.
Rhys Rosser reluctantly takes control of Team Instinct after Tim 'Wind is my least favourite weather type' Ankers and Kirsty Cleaver pass the buck. The ever beady-eyed Nick Hewer observes: "Tim has carefully avoided the project manager job, and his reasoning? Because he doesn't like cooking!"

Rhys is annoyed that yet again he's been forced to wear the comedy over-sized suit.
Elsewhere, on Team Revolution there is a battle for the project manager role, with the ever shy and retiring Zoe Plummer coming out as the winner. "A good team leader recognises their
own weaknesses and recognises everyone's strengths and delegates according to their skill sets," she says.

Arjun and Zoe crunch some numbers.
Rhys's leadership skills are constantly questioned by his team, who believe he is "more of a follower". The red-cheeked youngster is put to the test with the cupcake challenge and annoys rival Kirsty with his delegation. "I feel he should have given me more support and I don't really see what Rhys has done all day," she complains.

The beret was so 2009. Zoe finds a new fashion accessory for this week's task.
The issue on Team Revolution is about numbers rather than leadership. Arjun thinks that the team only need 350 of their 'I Heart'-themed cakes, but Emma insists that they should produce 800 sticky sweet treats. They compromise on 400, though that turns out to be the least of their worries as Adam struggles with his icing task. Karren Brady jokes from the sidelines: "It took Adam over four minutes to ice one cupcake. So bearing in mind that they've got 400 cakes, he would be here for the next 26 hours icing if he is going to go at that speed!"
The Junior Apprentice airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
Will Rhys pull himself together and lead Instinct to victory? Has Zoe met her match with the giant cupcakes? Leave your opinions in the box below!
