Marshall, McDonough, McFadden put on the bench
Published Wednesday, Oct 4 2006, 12:14 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones
Graham Taylor has unveiled the latest three players to be put on 'the bench' and face the public vote - Rocky Marshall, Brian McFadden and Blair McDonough.
Former Westlife star McFadden had earlier incurred the wrath of 'The Gaffer' due to a perceived lack of effort on the pitch, although Taylor praised his technical ability on the ball. McDonough is no stranger to the bench, having survived the vote on Monday night. The process involves their fellow players voting their favourite of the trio to survive, with the remaining two at the mercy of the voting public.
The Celebrity squad is being reduced from 21 to 16 on a daily basis, with Leo Ihenacho and James Hooton the two players to leave so far. The remainder face a special warm-up match against Newcastle United on Wednesday morning in advance of their battle against the Legends this Sunday.
