'The Match' managers reveal teams
Published Saturday, Oct 7 2006, 19:57 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

Taylor surprised many observers by naming Mark Bosnich as the goalkeeper for the Celebrities, despite his inability to take a full part in training throughout the week because of injury. Ralf Little, still recovering from a badly swollen ankle, was named in the XI but the manager specified that Emmerdale's Glenn Lamont will step in as a replacement if needed. Taylor is hoping the combination of Sam Robertson and Darren Campbell upfront will overcome the goal-scoring crisis he has spoken about regularly.
His opposing number Peter Reid left Paul Gascoigne on the bench as the former Spurs star is suffering with a pulled thigh muscle. Andy Goram was chosen over Bruce Grobbelaar for the goalkeeping position, with the latter absent from the Legends' training sessions this week. Their strike-force consists of former Liverpool favourites Peter Beardsley and Ian Rush, with Reid noting: "The main difference between the two sides is goalscorers."
Earlier, Alec Stewart was given the captain's armband for the Celebrities, with Chris Waddle chosen to lead the Legends.
The teams in full:
Celebrities: Mark Bosnich, Danny Young, Alec Stewart (c), Thomas Craig, Ralf Little (or Glenn Lamont), Anthony Hutton, Chris Hollins, Jeff Brazier, Harvey, Sam Robertson and Darren Campbell. Subs: Alex Lawler, Blair McDonough, Martin Offiah, Glenn Lamont and Craig Kelly.
