According to The Hollywood Reporter, the format for the show - which has been distributed to 110 territories worldwide - has also been sold to Vietnamese network VT3.

In the UK, Got to Dance has just finished its fourth series on Sky1, with 1.1 million viewers tuning in to watch the finale on March 17.

This year's show was won by Canadian dancer Lukas McFarlane who beat nine other finalists to claim the top spot and the £250,000 prize money.

The 19-year-old's winning performance was seen by a studio audience of 6,000 people and received a standing ovation from judges Ashley Banjo, Aston Merrygold and Kimberly Wyatt.

He said of his victory: "Words cannot describe how I feel. I have no idea what I'm going to spend the money on but definitely a trip to Canada!"
